Drinking hot tea can cause cancer

The existence of these studies confirm previous research in March 2009 which also investigated the relationship between hot tea and esophageal cancer. Research shows that those who drank tea as soon as stipulated (still hot), esophageal cancer risk greater than those who wait a few minutes, then drink it after a bit cold.

Until now there is no scientific explanation why the hot tea to increase esophageal cancer, but chances are hot coming into the throat continuously will damage the throat cells. Dr. Zhao Jinkou of Jiangsu Provincial Centre for Disease Control and Prevention in China also advise people to drink in warm, not too hot. Several other studies have even mentioned that the consumption of drinks / other hot foods (coffee, soup) increase the risk of esophageal cancer and stomach cancer.

While studies relating to the hot green tea is still observed, Zhao says that consumption of green tea in warm still provide health benefits for the body, including lowering cancer risk.
