Intelligence Increase Child APPLAUSE

Besides fun, applause can also increase keterampikan motor and cognitive (intelligence) of children. Researchers from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) conducted the first studies about the benefits of a song that was sung while clapping. The results showed a direct relationship with increased activity and skill development are important in children, adolescents to college students.

"We found that children grade one, two and three primary schools who sang the song, clapping his hands to show a greater ability than children who did not participate in these activities," said Dr. Idit Sulkin, a member of BGU's Music Science Lab in the Department of the Arts, as quoted from ScienceDaily, Saturday (05/01/2010).

Researchers also found applause motor skills may help train children so that they can produce neat handwriting, write better and a bit of a spelling error.

Brodsky Dr Warren, a psychologist who supervised the music of this doctoral dissertation revealed applause activities can train the brain and affect development of other brain regions. Another benefit is the kids are taught to train social integrity with other friends, so that better socialization skills.

In this study, Dr. Sulkin and the team went to some classes of primary schools and providing training on track, clapping his hands. This was done over a period of time 10 weeks. During the study, Dr. Sulkin also joined the children to sing. This was to see if the children amused and fascinated in singing, clapping his hands. This activity turned out to be one of entertainment for elementary school children.

"In such a short time, children have better cognitive abilities and assist in performing motor skills activities. Therefore this should be included in education for children aged 6-10 years with the aim of improving motor and cognitive abilities," said Dr. Sulkin .

Dr Sulkin added children's songs that are sung while clapping is usually sung by children up to age 10 years. If observed, then this activity is to function as a guideline to develop and enhance emotional needs, physiological, sociological and cognitive children up to the next growth phase.
